Principi angels are “serene humans sculpted from alabaster” with “golden orbs for eyes.” They can fly and attack with a silvered bastard sword. Due to the angels’ Moonlight Aura, hostile spells targeting the principi are DC 15. They can see invisible creatures at will using their Truesight talent.
I approached these seeds with the mind that principi angels focus their attention on governments, settlements, and leaders rather than the day-to-day tasks of other angels. This is from Christian mythos, and you might see them some other way, which is fine. It’s your game, after all!
Encounter Seed: A statue of Remiala, Doumi, and Adella, three mythical principi angels stands in the town square of a medium-sized settlement. Last night, someone defaced the statue. Peasants are angry, and the town guards suspect an “outsider” to the settlement rather than a local. They want to know who was staying at local inns on the night of the incident.
Encounter Seed: A city is guarded by a principi angel who watches over the gate and and within the walls of the city. As a matter of law, the settlement has banned invisibility magic and any sneaking behavior. When noticed, the angel mobilizes guards.
Encounter Seed: A courier is trying to enter a settlement at the same time as the party. For some reason, the guards are giving him a hard time. He complains that he has a message for the lord sent by a principi angel. The guards think the man is delusional.
Adventure Seed: A cabal of chaotic mages, The Flames of Zodon, has stolen the vision of a principi angel who once guarded a settlement. This has led the settlement into a state of apathy and decay and given the mages far more power than they should have. The lord of the settlement wants to find a way to return the angel’s vision and regain control of the settlement.
Adventure Seed: The lord of a settlement has made several heavy-handed policy decisions lately, claiming to be guided by a principi angel who supports the importance of order and obedience. The “angel” is actually a disguised cubi devil (succubus) tricking the lord to sow chaos.
Ridiculous Adventure Seed: When the original blueprints for the settlement were laid out, they were done so under the watchful eye of a principi angel. The settlement has grown substantially since that time, with the addition of a slum on the outskirts of the town. The principi angel plans to return and will be very upset about these obvious code violations.
