Domini angels are “winged, flawless humans glowing with bronze sunlight.” They can attack three times with a bastard sword or use their horn, which paralyzes all enemies in near who fail a DC 15 CHA roll.
Encounter Seed: A mob approaches an honest grain dealer (peasant) after a competitor spread rumors that the dealer was a cheat. Just as the mob (peasants) approaches, a horn sounds, and the mob is paralyzed. A domini angel ascends over the crowd and warns them that the grain dealer is fair and is protected by a holy order. The protection is news to the grain dealer.
Encounter Seed: The party is ambushed by four dretches near the entrance to a cave or mine. After 1d4+1 rounds of combat, a horn will sound. A domini angel joins in the fray, protecting the party.
Encounter Seed: The party opens the door to a dungeon room and finds the adjoining room is brightly lit with white walls. In the center of the room stands a domini angel who greets the party warmly and speaks directly to the most religious character. The angel tells the player not to lose faith because good things are soon to come. Then the room darkens again, and the party is immediately attacked by a single giant spider. All characters have advantage on attacks for the duration of combat.
Adventure Seed: A necromancer with a sick lover hopes to revive her after her death. He is attempting to perfect this skill on local peasants. However, the magic is not reviving them but turning them into fierce undead. The characters must work with a domini angel sent to restore order.
Adventure Seed: A domini angel has been corrupted by an archdevil, his heart darkened. The angel kidnaps a high priest of his order and takes him to a nearby mountain. As the angel flies away, the priest yells, “You must stop his plan. He will bring doom to us all!”
Ridiculous Adventure Seed: A bard spent several weeks acting as a domini angel in a local production of Angel’s Tear. He wakes up one morning to find that he has sprouted actual wings. Unsure if this is a blessing or a curse, the bard flees town…but the king is coming to town and expects to see the show!
